Hill Mechanical was selected as the HVAC and Plumbing contractor for the 35-year old, three story, 50,000 square foot cadet housing building.Air conditioning was added to the "Berthing Rooms" by replacing 121 2-pipe fan coil units with 4-pipe fan coils and installing a 120-ton air cooled water chiller. Pumps and converters are installed in a new basement mechanical room. Steam is supplied from the Training Center's district steam system. A new 4,400 CFM air handling unit with heating and cooling coils serves the first floor lobby while a 4,100 CFM make-up air unit handles the laundry room. The exhaust fans are installed in the attic. The plumbing consists of replacing a total of 221 fixtures in two large bathrooms on each of the three levels.
