HSBC Northern Illinois Data Processing Facility - VH3 - Phase II
Hill Mechanical is providing complete HVAC and Plumbing systems for the second phase of this 130,000 square foot mission critical data processing facility. This second phase includes complete buildout of a 30,000 square foot second floor data center and HVAC support systems for additional UPS and switch gear equiptment.The project includes: six 600 ton water chillers, associated pumps, seven 500 ton cooling towers, a plate and frame heat exchange, and 36 computer room air handlers (CRAH) to serve the data center as well as the UPS rooms and switch gear rooms. Fuel polishers were added to the existing fuel systems. The entire facility is controlled by central DDC BAS system. The construction schedule allowed only six months for substantial completion of the mechanical systems. Consulting Engineer:
