The Men's Wearhouse - Dry Cleaning Plant

The Men's Wearhouse is one of North America's largest specialty retailers of men's apparel with over 1300 stores nationwide. The stores carry a full selection of designer, brand name and private label men's clothing, including tuxedo rentals. The company operates several regional warehouse and distribution facilities including the 50,000 square foot dry cleaning plant for tuxedo's in Addison, Illinois. This plant includes dry cleaning, washing, drying and pressing equipment.In the first quarter 2008, the Men's Wearhouse did a major renovation of this dry cleaning plant. Hill Mechanical was the prime contract design-builder for this project which included demolition and removal of old equipment, and installation of: - six new dry cleaning machines
- five relocated washing-extractor machines each with a nominal 100 lb. capacity
-two relocated steam driers each with a nominal 75 lb. capacity
-ten pressing machines
-a new hot water heater package for the washers including two 600 MBH heaters and a 750 gallon hot water storage tank
-two new 20 HP air compressors
-three new air cooled chillers and two relocated air cooled chillers
-two chilled water storage tanks and six chilled water pumps
-new piping to equipment including; 125 psig steam, steam condensate, chilled water, compressed air, vacuum, domestic cold and hot water piping
-one new 350 GPM underground lint trap with waste and vent piping
-electrical demolition and new power wiring to new and relocated equipment Complete:
