Hill Mechanical is installing the HVAC and plumbing systems for the two - 180,000 square foot five-story office buildings and parking structure for Takeda Pharmaceuticals World Headquarters. The project is seeking a LEED Silver Certification. Each building will utilize two - 270 ton packaged roof-mounted VAV air conditioning units. The units contain UBC lights, Merv 15 air filters and evaporate condensers. Perimeter offices are served by fan powered VAV boxes with electric heating coils ducted to ceiling diffusers. The interior spaces have an under floor air supply system. Vertical air columns provide the proper amount of air to the raised floor spaces. A welded black steel duct extends from the kitchen good to an exhaust fan on the roof. A DDC building automation system was installed. Three dimensional duct and pipe modeling will facilitate in-house coordination between HVAC and plumbing. Detailed plumbing drawings will be utilized for prefabrication of the core bathrooms.
