Hill Mechanical installed the HVAC and plumbing systems for this 80,000 square foot, five-story office addition. The new spaces are served by VAV boxes with hot water heating coils. Additionally, fin tube radiation is installed at the outside walls. Two air handling units and one kitchen hood make-up air unit are installed. A new 325-ton air cooled chiller serves the new and existing offices. The existing chiller was removed. Two new gas fired water tube boilers provide hot water for the addition. The primary chilled water circuit is a glycol solution, as is a secondary circuit on the heating water systems that serves the three air handling unit preheat coils and the snow melting system. A DDC control system is utilized. Acrchitect and Engineer: FGM Architects Engineers, Inc. General Contractor: A M King Construction Co. - Charlotte, NC Complete: 2005 |
