Hill Mechanical Group was responsible for the design/build of new heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing systems for the renovated 5th through 10th floors. These floors were changed from dormitory to classroom usage. This project had a demanding ten-week summer construction window schedule.A new 50,000 CFM roof mounted penthouse air handler serves new supply and return risers in the area well located on the exterior of the building. The supply riser was connected to a medium pressure loop on each floor which, in turn, was connected to VAV boxes with reheat coils and diffusers for each of the new classrooms. Perimeter baseboard radiation was used. Architect: Weese Langley Weese
